Kimberly Pope
My name is Kimberly Pope and I have been teaching and coaching in Coppell ISD for the past 7 years and have a total of 10 years teaching experience. I currently teach 7th/8th Texas and United States History; GT to on level students. I have a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Principal Certification, and starting my Doctoral in Educational Administration in the summer of 2013.
This past school year, I completely flipped my GT classes and worked in the beginning process of flipping my on level classes. I used two completely different structures in both classes and the response was great. I am looking forward to incorporating a fully function flipped classroom model for all my classes this year. My favorite pastimes include: spending time with my husband Tony and three boys, Kaleb, Lennon, and Hendrix; reading, and grilling out in the backyard. Melanie Ringman
A little about me: I graduated from Texas A&M in 2005. Whoop! I have two boys, Elijah and Joshua, two cats and a dog. As you can imagine, our house is always busy. In my spare time, I am an avid reader and love spending time with my husband and kids. My favorite genre is dystopian and fantasy novels. I love talking about books so you can always strike up a conversation with me about the book you are currently reading!
This is my 8th year to teach at Coppell Middle School North. I currently teach 7th/8th grade combined GT Language Arts. I have taught in the gifted program for six years and have taught both Language Arts and History. This year our school has implemented the 3E model lesson planning with a focus on flipping the classroom. I have enjoyed engaging, enriching and empowering my lessons and my students. This year I have pushed myself out of the box and to always put the focus on my students. Email: [email protected] Coppell Middle School North Twitter: @MelanieRingman |
